South Sudan To Adopt Swahili Language

South Sudan will introduce Swahili language into its education system, said the country's Minister of Education Deng Deng Hoc on July 3, 2018. According to some East African media sources, the minister said Swahili would enable South Sudanese to communicate easily with other people of the East African Community, EAC. South Sudan is a member of the regional bloc.

Swahili language is one of the most populous African languages, spoken in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, and even parts of Zambia, Mozambique, Somalia, among others.
