Hurricane Maria Batters Dominica

The Caribbean has been slammed by a powerful hurricane called Maria, just a few days after been devastated by hurricane Irma. Hurricane Maria made landfall in Dominica late September 18, 2017, as a category 5 hurricane, with winds of up to 260 kilometers per hour. It is reported to have caused massive physical damage there. The country's prime minister had to be rescued from his severely damaged home after its roof had been blown away. Hurricane Maria is now heading towards Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands.
